John Lewis does it again by making us shed a tear.
What if our economic growth isn’t as positive as you think? If we don’t quickly create a new economy that isn’t based on constant expansion, are we’re going to run out of planet?

Eight men control half the world’s wealth. And that’s the official figures. They may control more.
So is capitalism working?
You tell me.

People in other industries don’t provide their would-be clients with “spec work” for free. That would be asinine. So, why do advertising agencies continue to do it?

A SHORT LOVE STORY IN STOP MOTION from Carlos Lascano on Vimeo.
This should be, if isn’t already, Grammar Nazis’ theme song. Brilliant stuff from Weird Al Yankovic!
Simple yet briliant.
These were created by VCU BrandCenter students for the AICP Awards. Very nice work kids. Now, go work in investment banking.
Amazing father-son stories in advertising. Funny, emotional and simply captivating.
My favourite video at the moment. Everything about it — story, music, animation — is amazing.
I wanna be just like her when I grow up.
Bruketa & Zinic OM, a Croatian creative agency designed an annual report for the Adris Group which literally evolves in the hands of the user. The black covers of the book, entitled “In Good Hands” reveal floral details when heated by the palms of the hands, thanks to specially calibrated thermo color. The same technique was used for the illustrations inside. An iPad version of the report is also available, and includes technology that also reacts to touch.
The idea is to illustrate metaphorically how hands can achieve anything. Adris Group, which has divisions in both the tobacco and tourism business, is a company owned by its employees as stockholders, and wants to emphasize that it is therefore “in good hands”.
A Day In The Life Of A Pretty Busy Graphic Designer is jooja!’s maiden attempt at short film. The story recounts a typical day of a creative person, who sometimes requires a longer gestation period than a elephant’s pregnancy to come up with creative ideas. ADITLOAPBGD was first screened at Goodman Arts Centre Open House in September 2012. Feel free to be brutal.
I just stumbled on this video even though it’s been around for more than a year. Japanese- Jewish American, Sarah Kay recites her poem “B” at a TED Conference and got everyone including me emotional. If you love the video, now you can get the book.
A sappy Hollywood romance gets Meta when scriptwriters discover an unexpected power.
After Vicky’s eyes meet Sam’s across aisles of DVDs in the video store, it’s only right that they should bump hips and—after a whirlwind romance of riverside walks and cute notes—fall in love. That’s the Hollywood formula. Predictable, functional, and stuffed to bursting with gooey mush, it pulls audience heart strings every time.
But not everything is as simple as first it seems.
Wicked. It’s pure inspiration to see how committed designers work & when hard work pays off. The designer who designed this annual report took 2 months worth of time to do quality research & thought process. (yes, !!!) He studied typography & the grid system and deem them as Math. A customized grid system & infographics with a twitch of perfection to fit all the information in nicely on to a 210 x 297 two dimensional space. I was just given a corporate book to scribble design on and hopefully I can pull off a beautiful piece of creation at the end of the day as well.
KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.
A must watch documentary for everyone. ‘Where you live shouldn’t determine whether you live.’
